The Format
Competitors participate as an individual but also contribute to a team score. Teams are made up of ten competitors (consisting of 5 males and 5 females), with schools only being entitled to enter a maximum of six teams (unless prior arrangements are made with the event coordinator). All competitors are allocated an identification number, which means they are separated from their team mates into competition number groups i.e. all competitors that have a number finishing with 1 move around the events together. Males and females are split from each other and competitors remain in their assigned groups for all events until the completion of the challenge. Competitors rotate to a new event (all events are based upon fitness components) after approximately 20 minutes (depending on the total number of competitors). Some events only take several minutes to complete, therefore competitors are given the opportunity to practice the event or encouraged to take the extra time to rest for their following events. Competitors are encouraged to achieve the most out of every event to attain maximum points for themselves and their team.
